Kandace Raybon
Ms. Kandace Raybon - Science & Social Studies Instructor & Dyslexia Therapist-in-Training
Ms. Kandace Raybon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from the University of South Alabama, where she gained valuable experience as a staff writer for JagMedia and hosted her own radio show. Her passion for education grew during her years working as a preschool aide and daycare provider at a local private school.
In 2023, Ms. Raybon earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and went on to teach in a public school classroom for two years. She brings a dynamic blend of creativity, communication, and classroom experience to her role at Bright Academy. She is currently expanding her teaching career by training to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) further deepening her commitment to supporting students with learning differences.
Ms. Raybon is the proud aunt of seven nieces and nephews, and shares her home with her 14-year-old spaniel and her 10-year-old cat. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys exploring new movies and television shows, writing, conducting genealogical research, and spending quality time with her family and pets.
Ms. Raybon is excited to join Bright Academy as the Science and Social Studies Instructor and is looking forward to an exciting year ahead with her students.
