Cathy Douglas

Mrs. Cathy Douglas – Librarian

Mrs. Cathy Douglas earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama in 1982. She currently holds a Mississippi Class A Teaching License, with endorsements in Elementary Education (K–6) and Media Librarian (K–12).

At Bright Academy, Mrs. Cathy brings warmth and creativity to the heart of the school—our library. She takes great joy in making the library a welcoming, festive, and engaging space for students. Her passion for literacy shines through as she shares books and fosters a love of reading in every child she meets.

In her personal time, Mrs. Cathy enjoys reading and spending time with her family, creating meaningful connections both in and out of the classroom.
